Student stories
From Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and beyond, now studying across Germany.
My CGPA was 2.6 and three consultants told me to forget Germany. DeutschDreams converted my grade honestly, found programmes that matched and rewrote my SOP around my projects. I got two admits.
The blocked account and visa file felt impossible to me. They gave me a checklist, booked mock interviews and checked every page. My visa interview was over in 10 minutes.
After FSc I didn't know Studienkolleg existed. They explained every route to my parents in Urdu, and now I'm doing my bachelor's in English, tuition-free.
What I loved was the honesty. They told me which universities were a stretch and which were safe. Their uni-assist guidance alone saved me weeks.
I had a 3-year study gap because of a family business. They turned it into the strongest part of my application. Now I have a Werkstudent job, too.
I chose Ausbildung instead of university. DeutschDreams guided my German B1 preparation and the hospital applications. I'm earning while I learn in Germany!

Yes. Most public universities in Germany charge no tuition fees, including for Pakistani and other non-EU students. You pay a semester contribution of roughly €100–€400, which often includes a public transport ticket. Exceptions: Baden-Württemberg charges non-EU students €1,500 per semester, and TU Munich charges international tuition fees. We'll always tell you the exact cost of every programme on your list.
Often, yes. Many universities of applied sciences and programmes without strict cutoffs review your whole profile: projects, work experience, SOP and recommendation letters. Private universities, Studienkolleg and Ausbildung are further routes. Use our free Profile Analyzer to see your German grade and the routes that fit.
Some German universities accept a Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter from your Pakistani university, or other tests such as PTE, TOEFL or Duolingo for selected programmes. However, an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 opens far more doors and supports your visa file, so we usually recommend it.
For a German student visa you must show about €11,904 per year (€992 per month) in a blocked account (Sperrkonto). The official amount is revised periodically, so we always confirm the latest figure with you before you transfer funds.
There are two intakes: Winter semester (starts September/October; applications typically close around 15 July, some international programmes earlier) and Summer semester (starts March/April; applications typically close around 15 January). We plan your timeline backwards from your target intake.
After FSc/ICS, students usually go through a one-year Studienkolleg or complete one year of a related BS degree in Pakistan for direct entry. With suitable A-Levels you can often apply directly. We map the right route for your subjects and marks.
Yes. International students can work 140 full days or 280 half days per year, roughly 20 hours a week during the semester. After graduation you can apply for an 18-month residence permit to look for a job.
We counsel students from all over Pakistan — Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Quetta and more — in person and online via Zoom and WhatsApp, in English and Urdu.
